Spring Training starts in 3 days! Pitchers and catchers are set to arrive on this Wednesday to loosen up their arms and get in their rhythm. The Phillies, if you do not know already, belong to the Grapefruit League where they play against other teams to get prepared for the new season of baseball. Spring season games for the Phillies start on the 1st of March, taking on the University of Tampa and then the New York Yankees on the 3rd.

Several of the Phils' pitchers hit the spotlight when they closed out the first week in Clearwater, Florida, but definitely not in a positive way. Cliff Lee was asked questions about Cole Hamels' comments about being in Philly, and the the future of the ballclub in the coming years. These were questions that Cliff obviously did not want to answer at all. Avoiding his own answers, he used the answers of a mysterious magic eight-ball that appeared by his side. I say mysterious because who really carries around a magic eight-ball during an interview or who was the one to give it to him? Besides the point it was quite humorous, and a clever way to keep the media off his back. Regarding Cole Hamels' comments about not wanted to be in Philadelphia anymore, it's embarrassing to hear. Coming from your number one pitcher, it disrespects the entire organization and it's fans. It will be interesting to see how well he performs for the team if he stays.
