Thanks Walter for the response. Every time I went to a baseball game I brought my glove, anticipating a foul ball to come my way, but it never happened. That's awesome that you were able to somewhat experience that, especially with a home run ball.

One year when I was really into baseball, my Dad and I went to a Phillies game every time they were handing out collectible Phillies memorabilia. I remember some of the nights the criteria to get a collectible was to be a certain age, so my Dad would tell me to lie about my age just so I could get one. My favorite moment during a Phillies game would definitely have to be when Pat Burrell hit a walk off homerun to win the game. It was the bottom of the 9th and he was up to plate. The score was tied, and he got a pitch that he smacked out of the ballpark. The crowd went crazy and high fives were being exchanged between me and people I didn't even know.

When it comes to the rule changes, I'm not happy about them at all. Like I've said in my original post the technology is ruining the authenticity of the game. The only one technological element I'm okay with is instant replay. Unlike instant replay, the new proposed rules are changing the speed of the game. Instant replay allows for the umpires to correct any calls that they've made so the outcome of the game does not change from a bad call.
